The Ancient Mermaid

One breezy morning there was a little boy called Tom walking along the beach with his dog, and tom saw something floating in the water, he didn’t know what it was so he went closer to the sea to have a better look.

After a few minutes Tom was starting to realise what it was he looked at it closer and closer and all he saw there floating in the water was a MERMAID! He ran back to his little cottage and told his mother straight away.

Tom’s mother didn’t believe him so he went back to the beach with his little dog scurrying along beside him. Tom went back to the same spot where he was when he found the mermaid floating on top of the water the beautiful mermaid wasn’t there anymore.

Well the little boy went home and found that his mother wasn’t there anymore so he went looking for her round the town. Tom couldn’t find her so he went looking round the beach then all of a sudden little Tom found his mother sitting on a little rock in the darkness looking straight out to the sea tom asked his mother 'mother are you ok?' She replied: “Yes son, I have just seen something in the water”.

Tom was puzzled but the he remembered that his mother was in the same spot where he found the mermaid. From that day on all the villagers called the little spot were Tom and his mother found the mermaid THE AINCENT MERMAIDS SPOT.
